January Crochet a Long! Coffee Cup Buddy

I made this little guy as a Christmas present last month and thought he’d make the perfect first We Stitch Wednesday of 2020! So, get ready, get set, let’s stitch! We’ll be making our little coffee buddies tonight live on twitch!

The best part about We Stitch Wednesdays is – When I Stitch, You Stitch – We stitch! So, if you’re new to crochet or have questions along the way, I’ll be working on the same pattern as you. That being said, if you ever have questions, you can ask them and I’ll always be happy to stop while I’m live and show you.

If you’d like to practice before we start, here’s some youtube videos to help.

To make the green line around the face, surface stitch around the last row of the circle. Then attach your eyes on each side in row 2 of your face circle. Using your pink yarn, sew little cheek lines under each eye. You can use it to sew on a mouth, or needle felt it in place.

Sew the face to your cup, being careful with the eye post placement so that it sits flat against your cup base. Then Stuff and sew the lid to the top, via the backloops of row 9.

Happy Stitching!
